With over 50 years of experience in pedigree and commercial cattle breeding, I specialise in delivering breeds that are more profitable for the beef trade. My farm has a range of native and continental breeds of cattle to suit individual and commercial producers’ specific requirements. This also enables the pedigree breeder to provide excellent high-value breeding stock. I serve customers in Scotland and locations across the UK.

Charolais
Regardless of the usage of different sires, the calf consistency, uniformity and conformation has been achieved by using the practicalities of stockmanship. The stock photographed is typical of the standards achieved by the careful selection process undertaken by Cecil for his clients.

South Devon
South Devon cattle is popularly known as orange elephants. They are the largest of the British native breeds. They have a fast growth rate, good temperament, well-grained meat and excellent forage converters.

Highland Cattle
Famous for feed efficiency, they are very adaptable to any environment producing quality meat, they are excellent for foundation females, for crossing for commercial use and are easy maintenance.

The breed developed in the Scottish Highlands and Western Isles of Scotland. Breeding stock has been exported to the rest of the world, especially Australia and North America, since the early 20th Century.
Ruby Red Devon Cattle
Ruby Red Devon Cattle is a popular breed of cattle. It is known for its longevity, docility, exceptional fertility, ability to adapt to temperature extremes including its’ marbled and succulent beef. 

North Devon
It is a type of cattle breed originated from the ancient Devon breed from South-Western England. They are used extensively as draught livestock. They are noted for their ease of calving, docility, fertility and adaptability.


Blue Grey
Blue Grey cattle is a cattle breed from upper parts of Scotland and north of England. Gestation period longevity the Blue Grey cow is ideal for uplands, lowlands beef production as they are very economical cow to keep and more profitable. Also ideal for crossing with any bull desired. They have an excellent temperament, ease of cross-breed calving, capacity for young meat development and has a short gestation period.

British Blue
It is noted for its impressive muscling which is commonly referred to as "double muscling". 
Kennox Simmentals
Simmental is a versatile breed of cattle. They are usually used in the dairy and beef industry. They can produce a well-fleshed carcass of solid red meat. It has more combined weaning growth and milk yield than other breeds.
Beef Shorthorn
Beef Shorthorn is a type of cattle breed which was originally developed as a dual-purpose breed. They are suitable for both dairy and beef production. They have high-value for its increased fertility and high carcass quality.
Charolais
Charolais is a breed of cattle originated in Charolais, France. They are developed for their meat and are well-known for their composite qualities when crossed with other breeds, mostly Hereford or Angus cattle. They are large-framed animals, long-bodied and heavily muscled.
Hereford 
Hereford is a breed of cattle ideal for temperate and intemperate areas. They are raised especially for meat production. They are famous for their adaptability, good fertility, longevity, easy calving ability and quality meat.
Limousin
Limousin cattle is a type of cattle breed originally bred in the Limousin and Marche regions of France. They are famous for their distinctive golden-red colouring. They are prominent for their ease of calving, genetic strength and quality meat.
Aberdeen Angus
Aberdeen Angus is a Scottish cattle breed mostly used in beef production. They do not have horns and are either black or red in colour, although the udder may be white. There have always been both red and black individuals in the population.
Galloway
It is one of the world’s oldest cattle breed. They are dark, smooth-polled, and wavy-haired with undercoats. They are known to produce high-quality meat and are ideal for beef industry.
